Renting the Hall
The Colpoy's Bay Women's Institute Community Hall is a non-licensed, accessible, smoke-free building, built in 1927. It is managed and maintained by the Colpoy's Bay Women's Institute. It can be rented hourly, by the half-day, or by the day.
The Colpoy’s Bay Women's Institute Community Hall is a two-story building with a fully functioning kitchen and eating area downstairs, and a large open room with a stage area upstairs. With the help of an Ontario Trillium Grant, our hall is now accessible through the use of a lift. There is an accessible washroom on the lower floor.
Hall Capacity is approximately 100.
There are chairs and tables (card tables and 8-foot folding tables) available for use within the hall. Dishes are also available to rent for functions, and we rent our tables and chairs for functions outside of the building.
Licensed Events
If you wish to hold an event where liquor will be consumed, it is your responsibility to obtain the appropriate license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). You will also provide proof of this license and appropriate insurance coverage for your event to the custodians of the Hall at least 5 business days before the event takes place.
Rental Rates 2024
Hourly Rate $25
Half Day (6 Hours) $125
Full Day (not exceeding 12 hours) $200
Kitchen useage fee $75
Dishes use fee $4 / dozen
Chairs to rent (outside of hall) $2 each
8' Tables to rent (outside of hall) $5 each
Security/Damage deposit $250 (refundable upon inspection)
Late cancellation of rental may result in security deposit being held.
